Modernization has been key to keeping the Bangladesh Navy a viable fighting force going into the middle of the decade. This includes purchases from China and South Korea, giving the service a pair of Type 035G attack submarines and BNS Bangabandhu (F25) as a guided-missile frigate. The frigate fleet numbers five total hulls followed by six corvettes and a collection of patrol vessels rounding out inherent capabilities.
